Our Director
Stacey
Kochanowski is the Director at the Pyramid Autism Center.
She is currently responsible for financial management, fundraising, public
relations, staff training and supervision, and school improvement.
She began her career at the Delaware Autistic Program (DAP) in 1994 while
working towards an undergraduate degree. She gained further experience in the field as an
in-home therapist for families with autistic children in West Virginia
while working on her Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family
Studies. She returned to DAP for full time employment in 1997 while
towards a Master's of Special Education. In November 1998 she
accepted a job in California as a Special Education Teacher for children
with autism at Pyramid Autism Center (which began serving students in
September 1999). She was involved in starting the Pyramid Autism
Center where she taught for three years before taking on the role of
Director of Special Projects and then Director. She is
a certified Teacher of Exceptional Children and a Certified PECS
Implementer and Supervisor.
